egg rolls, redneck style

I made egg rolls on Wednesday night. I started with a recipe and went a little rogue. The idea was egg rolls that had liquid in them like dumplings.

They looked good.
On Saturday night I took them over to a friend's house since he was having a pot-luck dinner and I can't cook the egg rolls because I'm afraid to fry things because I might burn my eyes. He had been trimming trees in his yard and was burning the branches in a fire pit. So dinner ended up being a barbecue.

Which is how the egg rolls ended up being...barbecued.

um...

...yum?
People seemed to like them and ate all of them.

Full disclosure: aforementioned people were drinking.
