I have been miserable working for my idiot manager and told my parents that I was going to start looking for a new job as soon as I got my bonus for last year's work. I got the bonus on Thursday and then, the same day, was contacted by a recruiter who pitched me a job that I was a perfect fit for. She told me she would have the project manager call me.
Meanwhile, an old client emailed me the same job on Friday. It turned out he is the project manager. I spoke with him at 8 am this morning and they had an offer letter to me by noon today. I think the universe threw me an opportunity and I ran with it. So relieved to be out of my current company.
